Regional Director

Position Summary:

Ensures market growth, articulates the strategy and implements tactics to optimize Center operations performance of the region. The Regional Directors  (“RD”) leads and develops the region’s Center Directors and Center Managers to ensure flawless execution and superior patient and client satisfaction.


 

Responsibilities

Management Responsibilities

 

  • Sets and enforces goals and standards for the Centers that are consistent with those of senior leadership.
  • Analyzes trends and monitors key performance indicators (“KPI”) within the region. Provides guidance on and develops actions plans for KPI areas of opportunity. Ensures efficiency and stability of the operations in the region and highest level of quality patient service.
  • Sets specific and measurable standards, goals and objectives to enhance quality patient service and revenue growth. Develops short and long-term plans to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Manages the business aspects of the Center operations within the region with support from the corporate office, Central Billing Office, IT, HR and Business Development.
  • Analyzes overall operations and develops resources and methods to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operational performance and quality of patient service.
  • Works closely with Center Directors within the region to review relevant reports and develops strategic plans to improve areas of opportunity. Recognizes and celebrates success with their team.
  • Oversees the staffing and scheduling plan to ensure that Center Manager are effectively hiring, training, reviewing staff competencies and performing timely discipline and terminations. Provides guidance on personnel costs and staff optimization.
  • Assesses market leadership for the purpose of succession planning, promotions and transfers; participates in and performs interviews, hiring, discipline and terminations.
  • Assures quality services are being rendered by establishing and maintaining departmental quality assurance programs, including monitoring quality indicators and monitoring the continuous provision of services, and regularly reporting to the SVP, and VP of Center Operations of actions taken to resolve problems.
  • Regularly reviews that Centers are meeting the standards of Nova’s compliance, infection control and risk & safety programs
  • Oversees Center maintenance and disclosure of patient records and reviews regularly for accuracy and quality in accordance with all Nova Medical Center policies and procedures, HIPAA rules and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Recognizes and diffuses problematic situations before they occur. Provides intervention and resolution of client issues and problems.
  • Works with the Center Managers and Central Billing Office to ensure appropriate, accurate and timely reimbursement for all services rendered.

 

Leadership Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborates with and leverages Medical, PT, Business Development, HR, Compliance and Facilities to drive exceptional operational management, including the achievement of KPIs for Centers within region.
  • Reviews and analyzes activities and operations to determine progress towards stated goals and objectives
  • Ensures Nova Medical Center’s culture and professionalism is instilled in all team members while visiting Centers.
  • Ensures integrity of satellite operations to maintain consistency in culture and operations synergy with Corporate Office.
  • Promotes, supports and engages in projects that will develop or improve occupational medicine services and overall teamwork within the Centers.
  • Demonstrates ethical business practices and application of personnel policies for all team members in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Ethics policy.

 

Other Responsibilities

 

  • Develops a working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), State Workers’ Compensation laws and other applicable State and Federal regulations and laws.
  • Coordinates with SVP of Center Operations and Human Resources to make arrangements for Center visits, including making travel arrangements and housing accommodations as needed. Up to 25% overnight travel may be required.
  • Periodically meets with the SVP of Center Operations and other team leaders, including off-site locations, to regularly review region performance, discuss quality of patient care, review policies and procedures, attend training sessions and/or educational seminars and other meetings as required.
  • May be required from time to time to provide leadership coverage for Centers outside of their primary assigned region.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred

Position Related Experience

  • 10-15 years of management experience.
  • 2+ years managerial success managing multi-center/ multi-state organizations.
  • Occupational Medicine experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance meeting state minimum requirements.
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products, email, internet, word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Must reside at a location in the assigned region.
  • Ability to work positively among diverse groups of individuals promoting a “TEAM” environment and “leads by example”
  • Understanding of professional standards.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of state specific Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations.
  • Proven effective communication with a wide range of patients, clients and customers including management, claims, legal, medical, sales, service providers and companies.
  • Ability to exercise proper judgment, make decisions and motivate employees.
  • Discretion and secure information management when accessing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Physical ability to execute job responsibilities which includes travel, including the adaptability to a variety of lodging accommodations and travel circumstances.
