                                                                       Recruiter/Locum Tenens Coordinator

Currently, Nova treats more than 40,000 injuries and sees more than a million patient visits in 12 months. Nova operates 64 occupational medicine facilities across Georgia, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.  Nova Medical Centers successfully operates outpatient acute injury care clinics in an Occupational Medicine setting. Services include minor work injury care, NO chronic pain management! We offer a fully integrated EMR system with complete automation that provides the Medical Director with the opportunity to focus on delivering high quality patient care with minimal administrative duties required of the provider.  Successful candidates come from various medical backgrounds including UC, ED, FP, ER, IM or Ortho.  

 

The Recruiter/Locum Coordinator will partner with Medical Directors, Regional Medical Directors, Human Resources Managers, Hiring Managers, and the Sr. Physician Recruiter to develop the most appropriate strategy to provide coverage for provider scheduling gaps. He/she will also communicate with locum agencies to select candidates for open locum needs.  

 

Daily review of the open needs calendar for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. 

 

Recruiting Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with search firms for select positions.
  • Present company and position in a professional manner
  • Handle administrative duties required to fill positions to include updating applicant tracking system, spreadsheets and completing paperwork as needed.

 

Locum Responsibilities:

  • Secure locum tenens coverage across the U.S.
  • Manage PTO and Locum coverage calendar.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with locum agencies.
  • Manage the process for onboarding, scheduling, and monitoring of locum provider performance.
  • Phone screen candidates for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  • Manage the various locum needs and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders regarding the locum recruiting process.
  • Handle administrative duties required, including obtaining all necessary paperwork, verification of credentials and appropriate documentation for locum assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Calendar Management:

  • Ensure associated requested PTO is logged and updated to the manager's calendar.

Travel

  • Coordinate individual and candidate travel including flights, hotels, rental cars, etc.
  • Coordinate travel for Locum Tenens and Independent Contractors training and coverage.

Audit

  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure appropriate data entry for internal referrals, submittals, interviews, and placements.
