Accountant – Part Time/ Seasonal Help

Nova Medical Centers is looking for a degreed Accountant to fill an immediate need on the Accounting Team. This individual will report directly to the VP of Accounting and will be responsible for executing general accounting processes as well as performing other operational tasks. This assignment will run through December 2024 and could possibly be extended into 2025.

 Two days a week up to 16 hours and you choose the days!  Competitive hourly pay!

Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting in a high- volume multi-site accounting setting, perform monthly accounting close processes including preparing and reviewing journal entries, variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Prepare accounting schedules for annual audit and provide general audit support including explanation of accounting entries.
• Produce detailed analysis and reports in a timely manner as requested by management.
• Document internal procedures and accounting controls.
• Serve as a reference for and maintain files of information frequently requested by management.
• Maintain and file annual personal property tax renditions for 65+ physical locations.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Availability to work two days a week, 16 hours weekly. Can be flexible with the days of the week chosen to work.
• Must work on-site at Nova’s corporate office located near Galleria.
• Proficiency with Intacct software preferred, experience with Concur, QuickBooks and AP Smart
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word)
• Has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
