Centralized Patient Scheduler

 

 

Nova Medical Centers is looking for a Centralized Patient Scheduler who will be responsible for scheduling our patients for medical and physical therapy appointments throughout their assigned territory.  A Centralized Patient Scheduler has excellent organizational skills, strong analytical skills, including troubleshooting and problem solving.  We are looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills  and attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities

  • Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the electronic scheduling system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Communicates in an effective and professional manner with patient’s, center leadership and departmental leadership.
  • Problem solves with Center Directors and department leadership when barriers to patient scheduling are present.
  • Responds promptly to requests by patients, staff and insurance adjusters.
  • Reschedules or cancel appointments promptly as needed.
  • Consistently maintains professional demeanor during all calls, escalating issues to supervisor as needed.
  • Familiarity with medical and physical therapy terminology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish (Required)
  • 2 years experience in Healthcare field with customer service
  • Must be able to work a weekly rotation schedule of 8 am - 5 pm and 11 am - 8 pm 
  • Must have strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Must have excellent telephone skills 
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
