Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Leadership Responsibilities - Ensures continuous enforcement and compliance with Nova Medical Centers’ policies, procedures and protocols.- Meets Key Performance Indicators and Core Competencies- Carries out business practices and personnel policies for all staff with ethical conduct treatment standards.- Participates in the training of the department team.- Participates with territory Physical Therapy - Market Director, Medical Director and Associate Director of Clinic Operations in overseeing daily operations and conflict resolution amongst professional staff.- Participates in interdisciplinary team and corporate meetings. Clinical Duties - Promotes professional milieu and demeanor while providing physical therapy services.- Ensures compliance with Nova Medical Centers’ physical therapy treatment philosophy.- Conducts chart reviews and provides individual clinical advice to therapy team members.- Coordinates and participates in professional development and continued competency. Other Responsibilities - Coordinates with Vice-President of Physical Therapy, Director of Physical Therapy Professional Development and Director of Human Resources to make arrangements for clinic visits, including making travel arrangements and housing accommodations as needed.- Ensures compliance with the rules, regulations and practice acts established by the relevant examining, licensing, accrediting and certification bodies.- Responsible for accessing schedules and insuring each facility is appropriately staffed, as such must be able to access schedules and coordinate staffing 24 hours a day.- Meets with the Director of Physical Therapy Professional Development and or other team leaders on a regular basis, including off-site locations, to discuss quality of patient care, review policies and procedures, attend training sessions and/or educational seminars and other meetings as required.- Provides input on facility space planning, capital equipment and/or suggest and/or validate additional equipment.- Monitors and maintains the role and relationship of the physical therapy team with other professional and ancillary staff.- Other duties, as assigned.- Extensive Travel Required.

Responsibilities:- Upon physician referral, conduct an initial patient evaluation to develop an appropriate treatment plan with measurable goals and time frames.- Document treatments and provide documentation per policy and procedure.- Ensure that other treating medical professionals have the necessary information to appropriately evaluate the patient's functional ability.- Communicate on a regular basis with all therapy patients, setting their expectations for return-to-work and emphasizing education and motivation for compliance with the established treatment plan(s).- Meet with the Market Director of Physical Therapy and or other staff on a regular basis, including off-site to discuss quality of patient care, procedures, records, review of policies, attend training sessions, educational seminars and other issues as required.- Partner with the Market Director of Physical Therapy and Medical Center Administrator (MCA) to ensure center operations are consistent with medical policy and professional standards at Nova Medical Centers.- Provide input to the Regional Director of Physical Therapy on capital equipment proposals, additional PT support staff, and etc. to ensure responsibilities are consistently met.- Coordinate with MCA in order to eliminate missed appointments, as well as, ensures that center support staff follows up on missed appointments the same day the appointment was missed.- Promote, support and engage in projects, communications and activities which are designed to maintain, develop and/or improve overall teamwork within the clinic. Assist with developing and promoting clear communication between the Physical Therapy department and other center staff members.- Assure compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodies, as well as remain familiar with rules and regulations established by relevant licensing bodies.- Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
